Last week was a vacation week for me. I traveled to my favorite spot – the southwest, specifically Albuquerque, New Mexico. They don’t call it the Land of Enchantment for ‘nuthing! Last week I came much closer to actually moving to this region and accomplished a major bucket list task. In fact I overshot my task considerably. I made new friends, visited old and dear friends and dealt with a lousy rental car and a bad head cold upon arriving home.
I’ll be writing about all my adventures over the next few weeks; today I’m still getting past the head cold, so forgive me if this is a short column.
Did you know Sandia as in the Sandia Mountains of Albuquerque stand for ‘watermelon’? These mountains which flank the east side of the city turn a beautiful pink at sunset. More about my adventures with these mountains soon!
