Forgiveness – a way to better health and happiness

Here’s this week’s message from the Divine Guidance Team:

We often talk to you about forgiveness.  Indeed holding on to that which displeases, angers, upset or causes you fear or sadness will continue to cause more of the same.  Since like vibrations attract like vibrations, this is so; you call this the law of attraction.  Emotions are vibrational in nature.  You cannot tune your radio at 102.5 and expect to receive that radio station that is positioned at 89.1—they are not the same signals.  Emotions range in frequency also.

Thus you must learn to deal with your emotions, whatever they may be, in order to manifest that which you deserve and desire.  Low frequency vibrations, such as fear, sadness or anger do not correspond to higher frequency vibrations such as joy, happiness and contentment.

Once you realize that the situation has served you by showing you what you want versus what you don’t want (we call this a contrasting experience) – then you may take the effort and time to move towards that which you do desire.  This does not often happen overnight – indeed it is a process that may take anywhere from days to years to accomplish.  This also means moving from one emotional frequency to another.

Often the situation will cause you great pain.  Forgiveness is a method of moving you from one frequency to higher frequency.  This is why we are so keen on forgiveness.  We know that you will need to move out of a lower frequency state into a higher frequency state to manifest your wants and needs.

While manifestation will occur at any frequency state, unless you wish to manifest more of the same, you are most likely looking for a relief to the contrasting experience and thus relief to the situation which is of a higher frequency than your current state.  Thus you wish to move up the vibrational and emotion scale.

Often you do not need to forgive the other(s) who has caused you the lower vibration emotional state, but you do need to forgive yourself.  So begin there.  Know that the situation was caused to create contrast in your life (and we are over simplifying here) and know it is okay to forgive yourself for creating or co-creating the situation.  (And again we are over simplifying the situation—again this is broad view perceptive of a larger process).

Start with forgiveness and ask the angels to help you process the forgiveness.  Time indeed heals wounds and we realize that forgiveness isn’t always what you want to hear about.  But it is important that you forgive yourself first—not because it is your fault, for we are not looking towards blame here.  However it is a method of moving yourself towards a different set of emotions about the situation at hand.  This is what forgiveness is all about.

Letting Go of the Past

Rochester NYI’m on vacation this week; traveling to my childhood home of Rochester, NY, where my sister recently moved to. We’re both kinda freakin’ out about this move, childhood memories, etc. While my cats are home, safe with the house sitter, I’m reliving both happy and sad childhood moments.

My father, who I was very attached to, died in April 1968, when I was a child. (Yes, I’m that old!) When he died my mother packed my sister and I up and we moved to Florida, to escape the cold white winters of Rochester. We never knew we lived that close to the lake until we visited this city about 3 years ago—the first time we were back in 40 years. At that time, my sister had no idea that she would making Rochester her home again; but then her husband got transferred and so she went.

I’ve come to visit; to sort the memories; to reminisce and maybe find a part of myself that I once lost.
I found this link to letting go of the past and so I present to you now, as I am forgiving and letting go of my past, so I can move forward.

Life can be funny, can’t it? With its ups and downs, insides and outs; sometimes we don’t know what is over the next hill (it’s very hilly here in countryside of Rochester, near the Finger Lakes). But we do know we have to move over the next hill in order to move forward. Besides one never knows what one will find over the next hill. Life can be fun that way.

Enjoy the quotes and remember that just because there’s a hill up ahead, it doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing. For me, I’m enjoying the exploration, wherever it may lead me.

Forgiveness – Does a Body Good!

scolded child, forgivenssSo along with all the New Year’s resolutions, is something that deals with your personal health and personal development, which technically go hand in hand, as I see it. Because face it, like the man said, “If you don’t have health, you don’t have anything.” Or something to that effect. And inevitably the subject of forgiveness comes up when you’re dealing with personal development. How you have to forgive and forget, blah, blah, blah.

‘Cept it’s hard to forgive those you done you wrong—whether it was the jerk this morning you cut you off in traffic or your mother who yelled at you about something when you were ten. And let’s face it—we really do blame our mothers and our fathers for lots of stuff that’s happened in our life.
And that stuff can lead to lots of toxic behaviors in our life. Which leads to dis-ease and who knows what! So along with all those new year’s resolutions, isn’t time you start trying to forgive and forget at least 1 person in your life?

For me, I came to realize that my mother needed lots of forgiving from me way too late—she had already transitioned (read died). Of course, for me this isn’t a problem, since we still talk occasionally. Mostly she tries to teach me about cooking – which she tried her best at when I was a teenager, but I wasn’t interested and turned a deaf ear. And yes, she was a great cook. At any rate, I did tell I was sorry and forgave her for at least half of my life’s problems. Mind you some of that stuff still bothers me—but not half as much as it once did. And mostly I forgave myself for holding on to all that old crap. Which is what I think forgiveness is all about anyways—forgiving yourself.

I stumbled upon an on-line article on forgiveness which might help you conquer this huge problem.
Read it here:
Maybe this is your year to start forgiving and forgetting and getting just a wee bit healthier all round.

Here’s to a great rest of the new year!
