Big Changes This Year of 2015

The Angelic Path
Merry Christmas!

Over the next two weeks, you’ll find our Best of Blogs as our Christmas season has begun.  Christmas is a time of light and love, to remind us of all the good we are capable of if we choose to go down that path. It’s a time to reflect upon the year behind us and see how far we’ve progressed in our expansion process or how little we’ve come.  This year was most interesting year — it certainly was a roller coaster ride!  We all seemed to have our ups and our downs.  How we cope with each one is important though.

If something ever-shifting didn’t happen to you this year of 2015,  I’d and the Team would be surprised.  It was a year of triumphs and tragedies.

I personally found my self stumped at every turn and found myself in a valley of defeat.  But God doesn’t keep us in the valleys forever — he eventually rises us up and this is what I’ve experience lately.  I’m moving out of the valley and back up into the mountains of victory!  I hope this year has been good to you; but know that it will be OK in the end, whatever your challenges may have been.

What will 2016 bring us?  Less of the same, I’m hoping for me personally.  I could use good news, peace, prosperity and contentment.  Remember to keep the faith whatever you’re challenges have been or are.  Remember to ask your angels for help, that’s what they are there for.   The Divine Guidance Team will be chiming in with their messages for 2016 soon.

For us here at the company, as you most of you know, we changed our name this year from the Illuminated Engagements Centre for Whole-Being to The Angelic Path.  We’ve updated our web site, brought you new Daily Messages from the Divine Guidance Team on Facebook and Weekly Angelic Messages from our newsletter site.  We’ve published our “Connecting with Nature’s Angels” book and released our “Entering Heaven’s Gate” CD about the afterlife.  We worked on a lot over at our Facebook page which under The Angelic Path, but still holds the old Illuminated Engagements name.

We’ve managed to get the blog subscribers and newsletter subscribers combined for the time being –which is why if this is your first blog from us, it’s because you were on a separate mailing list.  And vice versa.  Usually our blogs are more informative about many spiritual subjects.  Check out our library of blogs!

We’re planning more great books, audio and video recordings for the new year!  Be sure to watch for them.  We’re offering other products too such as gemstone pouches and perhaps note cards too.

Thank you for a glorious year!  We want to wish all of you a very blessed holiday season full of light and love, peace and joy for you and your family!  Without you we won’t be here—so thank you so much for reading our weekly blog and for being part of The Angelic Path family.  We have lots of stuff planned for 2016 – so stay tuned!

Merry Christmas,
Happy Holidays and Seasons Greetings!

8 Tips to Keep Communication Open

During the holiday season, we all need to remember to communicate better.

How are you showing up when you talk with others?

Communication is key when you’re attempting to get your message across to others.  This is true for our jobs as well as our friendships, family relationships and loved ones relationships.  Too often we speak in vague, even abbreviated language to each other which lead to half-heard conversations and half-understood meanings.

Between our social media and our advertising billion dollar industry alone we are bombarded with misleading, propagandized and non-truthful messages all day long.

How much conversation do you truly have with another person anymore?

As a member of what I have long termed ‘corporate world’ I see this type of ‘non-communication’ communication all the time.   It takes email after email just to get a simple point across or a simple discussion to be had.  And half the time, employees are so much in a rush, they only half read the email at best.  And thus miscommunication – and misunderstanding is born.  I call this: ‘non-communication’ communication.

IMG_1947Parents of teenagers are well aware of ‘non-communication’ communication.  Ask a teen what he’s doing and he will shrug and probably said, “Nuthin’.”   Ask him a more direct question and she’ll answer or whine, “I don’t know,” followed often with a roll of their eyes.

That kind of behavior from my niece in her teenage years drove me nuts  — bless her patient mother!  I’m just now beginning to establish relations with my niece now that she’s now 65 years old!

Husbands and wives get into fights because they don’t communicate.  A grunt does not a conversation make.  A whine or a shrill voice will only make another shut down.  Walls are created when communications break down.

Suddenly you are like two countries –fighting about semantics and dealing with bruised egos.  Over what?  Is it really that important?  Or are we holding on to false belief systems that no longer serve us?

This upcoming week is Thanksgiving week — how are you and your loved ones plan to celebrate?  Will it start with good conversational habits?  Maybe it’s time to start communicating effectively.

Here’s are 8 communication tips to get started:

  •  Try to really stop and listen to each other.
  • Don’t attempt to figure out how you’re going to respond and what you’re going to say while the conversation in in play.  Listen and then form an opinion or response when it’s your turn to speak.
  • Gain clarity if a meaning is unclear.
  • Do it in a neutral tone.
  • Don’t get angry or frustrated.
  • If the conversation is important, write down salient points that can be discussed.
  • Learn to compromise.
  • Let your ego go and know you don’t always have to be right.

Communication is key to relationships – no matter who they are with.  Opening yourself up to good conversation etiquette can help you in your work, your family life, your love life and with your friends.

Be kind to yourself and others this holiday season and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

How are you communicating with others?
Do you practice good conversation etiquette?
Are your conversations working for or against you?

Share your communication practices with us and let’s learn together how to change habits for the better!  Practice allowing yourself to attract that which you desire and wish to manifest by learning from others.  It starts with you!   What are you telling the Universe?

Remember: The Universe always agrees with you.  What are you telling it?

Holidays are Here

Christmas timeOver the next two weeks, you’ll find the Best of Blogs as our Christmas season has begun.  Christmas is a time of light and love, to remind us of all the good we are capable of if we choose to go down that path. It’s a time to reflect upon the year behind us and see how far we’ve progressed in our expansion process or how little we’ve come.  We’ve already told you that most of you had a very progressive year!  If something major didn’t impact your life this shifting year of 2013, I’d and the Team would be surprised.  But by now you should have come out on the other side of the high impact and settled down to whatever new routine life has presented you.

2014 should prove to be interesting too, but much less of a challenge.  What the Divine Guidance Team is telling me is that if the last few years haven’t been challenging for you, then you may be in for some bumps going forward.  But if you’ve already been there and done that—well, you’re in for some peace.

This doesn’t mean life won’t be interesting, it simply means it won’t be so difficult.  So that’s the good news.  Remember to keep the faith whatever you’re challenges have been or are.  Remember to ask your angels for help, that’s what they are there for.

We at Illuminated Engagements Centre for Whole-Being have been putting together a variety of lectures, workshops and events for the local southeastern Wisconsin, northeastern Illinois area.  Be sure to check out our monthly newsletters and web site for more information.   We’re finding that some of you are reading our blogs only and aren’t getting our newsletter.  We’re looking for a way to make sure you get all the news too and may put out a monthly blog that duplicates our newsletter and vice versa. Of course you can sign up to receive both if so choose and then receive both.  I promise you that I rarely send out emails daily like some do.  So sign up for both!

Thank you for a glorious year!  We want to wish all of you a very illuminated holiday season full of light and love, peace and joy for you and your family!  Without you we won’t be here—so thank you so much for reading our weekly blog and for being part of the Illuminated Engagements family.  We have lots of stuff planned for 2014 – so stay tuned!

Holiday Savings at Illuminated Engagements

Tis the Season
Tis the Season

So Gray Thursday and Black Friday remain successful, so expect more of the same next year.  The American retailer and consumer are alive and well!!!

If you’ve been a follower of this blog, then you know what I feel about this time of the year—specifically Black Friday.  As a retailer myself, I wish I could feel different, but I don’t.  I can’t stand the consumerism that surrounds us.  To buy for the sake of buying…well, I did just that when I was in my twenties, had no money and didn’t know better.

As a more mature adult, I have the money and now stay far, far away from the hype that is Christmas shopping.  I’d add another far…but I do buy presents for friends and family.  Friends understand that some years there’s just no money for gifts under the Christmas tree.  Family…well, not so much so.  I always buy for them.  Some years more, some years less.

This year I am visiting my sister who has moved to upstate New York, where we both grew up as children.  We left this area when I was 11 and she was 8 to the more sunny climes of Florida.  This year I’m flying to visit my sister, who for the last thirty years has lived in the Chicago area.  So it was easy to visit family for Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Now, not so much so.  It’s going to cost me even more.  This is probably another reason I’m not into holiday gift spending, this year.

However, I am looking forward to being with family this year in snowy upstate New York.  And I used Cyber Monday to shop for gifts – because I shop online now.

Which leads me to the reason for this blog – I didn’t want to bombard you with more sales announcements on Cyber Monday.  But we are having a holiday sale – I’ve got 10% off all merchandise including services – now is the time to book those 30 minute and 60 minute readings!   Call to book your appointment today and receive the discounted price — $6 off ½ hour and $12 off an hour reading.  Hey, every bit helps right?  If you book now –even if it’s for the new year – you’ll get the discount.  We stop the promotion on December 21st.

There’s also Free Shipping on all tangible products; we do not guarantee Christmas delivery after Dec. 18th.  We also have Gift Certificates this year!

So, enjoy this shopping season and check us out if you’d so inclined.  Book those appointments and get the discounted price!  And as always, we hope you have a very happy holiday season!

Don’t forget to Follow the Light!
