Thinking Will Get You There Faster

This week I attended two summer solstice ceremonies. Each was unique and beautiful in its own unfolding. This week, as a result of some of the discussions about reality versus illusion, as well as thoughts create things that took place after these ceremonies and as I too contemplate the reality of illusion or rather the illusion of reality, I am constantly being reminded that I too must lay aside my perception of the world and start thinking outside of the box.
Many of us are taught only one way to think – the way society and our culture thinks. But their ways may not be your ways – especially if their ways are working either for themselves or for you. We want to change our circumstances, we have to change our ways of thinking.

I created a postcard that I hand out to people – on it is a lovely view of the mountains at sunset, with the following phrase: “The Universe always agrees with you. What are you telling it?”

What are you telling your Universe? Are you getting what you are wanting? If not, perhaps it is time to tell it something different. Start by becoming aware of what you are telling it.

Internationally acclaimed spiritual writer and teacher Marianne Williamson expounds upon this subject in her short article on What You Think Is What You Get. Here’s the link:
